Biography of The Lava Girls

Erynn and Sara Lavagnino identical twins, were born in Bishop, California in the High Sierra Mountains. At the young age of 19 they moved to Nashville, Tennessee in hopes of furthering their career in the music business. The girls began singing at an early age, they would lock themselves in their bedroom and sing until they could no longer sing anymore. Growing up, most kids their age would be watching cartoons, not Erynn and Sara. They would wake up to the sound of their local country radio station "K.I.B.S" and it would play non-stop. They would memorize every song that was on the radio, and it all started there!!! They remember listening to their daddy singing and playing guitar to put them to sleep,(they are sure it probably was a Beatles song too!) Their mother was also a big influence on the girls. She loved country music and she especially loved the band Alabama. She loved them so much she had the Fort Payne Alabama Newspaper sent to their home in California every week!! Fort Payne Alabama in case you didnt know is where the band is originally from. Yea she is crazy just like her girls.
In high school the girls began singing in the school plays and started to get a lot of recognition from the community. By the time they graduated they knew music would be in their hearts forever. While all their friends were moving away to start college, the girls were building up their reputation as "The Lava Girls". They would literally sing for anybody, anytime, acapella or accompanied. They started playing out every weekend with their father and the band he put together for them.
In May of 2001 The Lava Girls held a soldout farewell concert for all their fans. The concert not only helped fund their move to Nashville but also was their way of saying thank you for all the support they received.
The Lava Girls have been living in Nashville for four years now and are still working hard towards that record deal. They have accomplished so much already in such a short time. They are currently working with legendary producer Nelson Larkin along with manager Steve Kondor. Nelson has produced such people as Toby Keith, Alabama and Earl Thomas Conley to name a few. They are in the process of working on a second cd in hopes of siging a record deal!!!
